The Children Jury

The International Violin Competition of Sion - Valais and the Un, Deux, Trois, Musiques... school collaborate to form a Children Jury to judge the top-level competition participants in conjunction with the International Jury presided by Shlomo Mintz. The Children jury, created by Nicole Coppey as a world premier in 2003, for the 5th time now, invites nine children from 10 to 14 years to sit beside the international Jury evaluating the candidates from all over the world and to choose their own winner. Giving an instinctive and diagonal perspective on the competition, this appeal to the receptivity of children provides a spontaneous scrutiny of the performances beyond the mere technical skills.
